Cindy Cain and Jennifer and Pete Marriott will present a musical tour de force of rocking roots and blues during July 4th festivities at River Parks. What's sure to be a hot July evening will grow even hotter when Cindy and Jennifer harmonize on various songs during their sets of well-known R&B, rock and blues tunes - as well as select originals. This collaborative effort is a musical first for Tulsa.

Cain, a fixture on the Tulsa music scene for the past decade, will be featured on vocals and harmonica. In 2006, Cain won a Tulsa World Spot Award for best blues/R&B in conjunction with the release of her 2nd CD, In Your Impala, featuring 13 self-penned tracks. The Tulsa World has cautioned that she's not to be pigeonholed, while the Washington Post termed her one of the best blues singers in that city's scene. Prior to relocating to Tulsa, Cain was established in the blues and jazz scene in the Washington, D.C., area and was a featured artist at blues and jazz festivals in D.C., Virginia and Maryland. Cain recently recorded a live jazz disc, set for July release, at Ciao's Primo Room in Tulsa.

Jennifer and Pete Marriott and their band, Odd Sheep Out, have twice won area blues challenges and been selected to compete in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis where they've represented the Tulsa and Rentiesville blues societies in recent years.

Born in London, Ontario, Canada, Jennifer's warm yet powerful voice has captivated audiences at blues and folk festivals throughout North America. Jennifer will be featured on vocals and guitar. Tracks off her two independent CDs - including the well-reviewed most recent disc, baa baa Blue Sheep - are in rotation on radio playlists worldwide.

Pete Marriott, whose blazing guitar work, energy and enthusiasm are the driving force of Odd Sheep Out, has played all over the world with internationally known artists such as Joe Cocker, Freddy Fender, Phil Driscol, Richie Havens, Ronnie Dunn, The Sandra Wright Band and Ayib Dieng. Originally from Tulsa, Pete will contribute vocals as well as his legendary guitar licks to this collaboration.

Rounding out the band will be Scott McQuade on keyboard, Jim Bates on bass and Wade Robertson on drums.
